Covering the Basics for Your Event Rentals in Middle Tennessee & Beyond

Thanks for checking out Big White Tent Rentals!

We’re a family-owned business based in Waynesboro, TN, serving Southern Middle Tennessee with professional tent and event rentals. We know that not everyone has experience planning events, so here’s some helpful information to make the process smooth and stress-free.

Pick Your Date

Most events happen on Saturday or Sunday. We typically set up on Thursday or Friday and take down on Monday or Tuesday. That means your tent and rentals are yours for the weekend—so make the most of it! Host a brunch the next morning or have friends over for a pre-event cookout.

Estimate Your Guest Count

You don’t need an exact number yet, but try to plan for everyone being under the tent in case of rain. We can always bring a few extra chairs or an extra table if your count changes.

Choose Your Setup Location

Tents can be set up on grass, patios, pavement, or other flat surfaces. Depending on the space, we’ll help you choose between a pole tent (requires staking into grass) or a frame tent (works on most surfaces).

Check for Underground Hazards

Pole tents are secured with stakes driven about 3 feet into the ground. Let us know if there are underground hazards like sprinklers, septic lines, or utilities. If staking isn’t possible, we can anchor your tent using water barrels or cement blocks.

Make Sure the Tent Fits

Not sure if your space will work? Send us pictures of the area! For large events, we’re happy to schedule a site visit to make sure everything will fit perfectly.

Call Before You Dig

If you’re unsure about underground hazards, we can help you contact 811 to have your utility lines marked before setup.
